I did inquiry with Katie this weekend on, “I shouldn’t take things personally.” She quickly said, “Yes, you should. You do.” I argued, “But I know better!”, and she replied, “No, you don’t!” This post is another example for me of the benefits of taking things personally when I do. I got to take a look and see where I am blind to others’ feelings when I think I know something (and that they need to know it too). I got to see me hurting myself when I believe it’s personal, no longer the victim. And I’m more open to seeing if it’s personal or not. So far, ‘not’ keeps showing up and I love that I’m testing it. ♥
