For the longest time I wanted to own a Kayak, and now that I live right by the water in Los Osos I went ahead and got myself one. I now kayak on Morro Bay often. Why wouldn’t I?

This is a map of Morro Bay. I have done the trajectory in red a few times now. The wildlife is abundant and the scenery is truly a gift. It is also a good workout, although you can make it as strenous or as light as you want, of course, by varying your own pace. Right at the end of my trajectory, next to Morro Rock, the water gets to be “a little wavy.” I stay right at that edge just for a little bit, to get a taste of it, then turn back.
Here’s some photos of the place. Truly idyllic.

I’d like to bring my kayak next year to Morro Bay. Aren’t there a lot of jellyfish in the bay? I’ve been to MB a lot over the past 30 years but never to kayak.
When you paddle is it possible to flip a jellyfish into the kayak?
Thank you.
I have never encountered a jellyfish, and I think it would be very unlikely that you would flip a jellyfish into the kayak. This I know because sometimes I catch algae with the paddle, and it sticks to the paddle, or it rolls out of the paddle into the water, but it really does not get inside the kayak.

I’m sorry this was posted several times. Hey, but now when I type my name in on google images, that map up there shows up and leads to this website. I love you Daddy!’
